ABOUT

ABOUT

An acclaimed director, creative director, pop culture braintrust, podcast host, and mom to Tris, Rocky the Boxer & Romeo(w) the kitty.

Hannah Lux Davis is an award-winning filmmaker hailing from Seattle, Washington best known for her acute attention to detail, striking imagery, and iconic vision. It was her passion for music videos in her formative years (TRL’s heyday) that sparked the move to Los Angeles at the age of 18 where she attended the New York Film Academy and Los Angeles Film School to pursue her dream of directing and editing pop videos. Now, creating a new style of glossy meets grit, she’s become the go-to director for the new generation, as she uniquely understands their brand of pop star treatment. A-list talent habitually turn to HLD to look their best, consistently relying on her to take their brand to the next level.

HLD’s music videos have been recognized with numerous acclaimed awards, with almost two dozen MTV VMA nominations over the years -- including 2 Best Direction nominations -- and has broken both YouTube and Vevo records for most views within 24 hours and fastest video to 100 million views with the release of the “thank u, next” music video. It’s no wonder artists seek out HLD when they need to create a buzz.

In addition to the massive mark she continues to leave on the music video world, HLD is constantly expanding her repertoire and transcending the boundaries of her industry by: stepping into the docu-series space (Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated and Alex Morgan: The Equalizer); directing launch campaigns for Pepsi and Pandora ME jewelry; directing and story producing Demi Lovato’s Roku talk show, The Demi Lovato Show; creating avant garde tour content, and is the go-to for celebrity collaborations for brands like L’Oréal, McDonald’s, Old Navy, Taco Bell, and Samsung.

Her unique take on beauty, stylization, and humor combined with a finger on the pulse of cultural trends has established HLD as one of the most in-demand and well-rounded creators in music, advertising, TV, film, documentary, and the tech-sphere -- often serving on different panels across many creative formats. Hannah’s hands-on approach from pre-production visualization to final delivery, ensures each frame is never short of perfect.

HLD currently resides in sunny Los Angeles, where she continues to take the commercial and music video world by storm, while going full steam ahead with a TV series in development and numerous feature film projects.
